A short time ago, a self-described, “NYT reporter covering FBI and national security, [who] live[s] in the Swamp, [Also,] Ex-WaPo and AP” reporter, dropped the mother of all stories. And this time it is a whopper.
He states, simply: “SCOOP: “But at the time, a small group of F.B.I. officials knew it by its code name: Crossfire Hurricane.” Furthermore, the code name for the Trump campaign spy ring began in secret, in the summer of 2016.
The NYT article says the ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ reference is from a lyric by the Rolling Stones, in the song “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” To listen, click here.
It reads “‘I was born in a crossfire hurricane’, was an apt prediction of a political storm that continues to tear shingles off the bureau.
The Times continues, “Days after they closed their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, agents began scrutinizing the campaign of her Republican rival.” Let that sink in.

“The Times previously reported that a young foreign policy aide on the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos, revealed he knew of hacked Democratic Party emails to Australian Ambassador Alexander Downer over late-night drinks in London.
Downer reportedly notified U.S. intelligence officials of his run-in with Papadopoulos after the emails, which contained damaging information about 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton just as the aide had said, began to leak to the public.
From there, the tight group of FBI agents went forward in interviewing Trump associates. Which was kept secret for fear of leaks that could sway the campaign.”
It sounds like the FBI was politicized and was spying on the Trump campaign for political gain. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck.

Lisa Page told IG that Comey wanted his memo in the Crossfire Hurricane case file because it was "central to investigative activity."
Perhaps most intriguing, Comey said he treated the memo as "FISA-derived" materials, as in, information derived through surveillance methods.
