Who is Sam Clovis? And why did Mueller’s team grill him for 19 hours? Why did he go before the grand jury and the congressional committees?

Well, according to the Washington Examiner, “Sam Clovis, [is] a former national co-chairman of the Trump campaign.” He “is one of three Trump figures known to have been contacted by FBI informant Stefan Halper during the 2016 presidential campaign.” (MORE BELOW.)

Why was Stefan Halper, embedded spy inside the Trump campaign, less interested in Sam and more interested in Carter Page and George Papadopoulos?

First, lets start with the nefarious email Halper sent Clovis on August 29, 2016. It stated:

“I am a professor at Cambridge University lecturing on US politics and foreign policy. I am what is called a ‘scholar practitioner,’ having served in the White House and four presidential campaigns — two as policy director. Over the past month I have been in conversation with Carter Page who attended our conference in Cambridge on US elections. Carter mentioned in Cambridge, and when visiting here in Virginia, that you and I should meet. I have enjoyed your comments and appearances in the media; you hit the sweet spot focusing Trump’s appeal to working America. May I suggest that we set a time to meet when you are next in Washington. Meanwhile, all the best, Stefan Halper.”

Second, from The Washington Examiner:

“He wasn’t wondering at the time — Clovis thought the meeting was so inconsequential that he did not report it up the chain at the Trump campaign, as he would have done if he had met someone who might be important to the campaign or who might be seeking a job. Only now, after reports that Halper was an informant for the FBI, has Clovis mentally gone back over their meeting in an attempt to figure things out.

Halper mentioned only briefly, and in passing, that he had met with Page, Clovis recalled when we discussed the meeting recently. Instead, Halper stressed his academic research, mostly about China and trade.

“It was about China,” Clovis said. “It had nothing to do with emails. No mention of Russia. [Additionally,] no mention of Hillary Clinton. No mention of her campaign. Only a mention in passing that he had met with Carter Page. Other than that, it was a discussion of his research and what he thought about China.”

“It was like two guys sitting in the faculty lounge talking,” Clovis continued. And “it was so innocuous I never reported it back to headquarters. It did not raise any antennas or red flags or something we needed to be on guard against.”

And lastly, it appears that Halper was there singularly to rope anyone from the Trump campaign to create an illusion of Russian collusion. And why did disgraced former FBI Director, James Comey have Halper there in the first place?
