Grassley Busts Rosenstein On What He May Be Trying To Hide In The Secret Documents

Senate Judiciary Chairman, Chuck Grassley, wants answers and he wants them NOW.

Grassley has given, what he considers, ample amount of time for the FBI and DOJ to hand over key documents related to General Flynn. Rosenstein stone-walled the release of the documents and continues to make excuses for not releasing all of them. But Grassley is not about to take “no” for an answer anymore, and he sent a clear message to Rosenstein that he’s messing with the wrong guy. See Below

On Wednesday, Grassley sent a letter addressed directly to Rod Rosenstein, where he called out the Deputy Attorney General for providing “insufficient documents” related to a request he made on May 11 and May 25 separate letters to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Rod Rosenstein. You can read more about the May 11 letter HERE.

Grassley asked for communication logs between General Flynn and the Russian Ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, and transcripts of Flynn’s initial interrogation conducted by the FBI in regards to the conversations with the Ambassador.

Rosenstein eventually reached out, yet gave very little of the information Grassley had requested, leaving him questioning what they may be trying to hide. And he is not giving up!

In his letter to Rosenstein, Grassley pointed out that it’s been well over a year since the initial request was made in a “bipartisan basis” and it’s been over 5 months since Flynn pleaded guilty. So, according to Grassley, there is no reason for the “improper excuses in refusing to provide the requested information.” Continued Below

Grassley lays out his case and directly slammed Rosenstein and other powers that be when he said:

“It has been more than five months since his guilty plea. Thus, there is no longer any legitimate reason to withhold facts from the Senate about the circumstances of his conversations with the Russian ambassador and his FBI interview.”

“…Presuming that the facts are consistent with the plea agreement, there is absolutely nothing for the Department to hide and no reason to act like it has something to hide. Resisting Congressional oversight only serves to further undermine public trust in the Department.” Link To Letter Below

Grassley also said it is “disingenuous and extremely disturbing” that Rosenstein and the DOJ are slamming the Committee for wanting to interview Special Agent Pientka, who assisted in interrogating Flynn.

In his recent letters, Grassley has expressed concern over former FBI Director James Comey’s inconsistent statements related to the Flynn case and is more than determined to get to the bottom of it.

Is there key info in the secret Flynn documents? If so, what are they desperately hiding?
