Tuesday night, Former FBI Lisa Page’s attorney announced her client will not appear and comply with the subpoena Wednesday despite a Congressional subpoena.

Page was scheduled to appear before the House Judiciary Committee for a closed-door deposition. (VIDEO BELOW)

In a statement, Page’s lawyer stated that her client wasn’t given enough time to prepare for the interview and was not allowed to review requested documents at the FBI on Tuesday.

President Trump was right before he left for Europe when he said Tuesday morning“I am on Air Force One flying to NATO and hear reports that the FBI lovers, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are getting cold feet on testifying about the Rigged Witch Hunt headed by 13 Angry Democrats and people that worked for Obama for 8 years. Total disgrace!”

Page served in the FBI’s office of general counsel, and also served on a brief detail in 2017 on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. Page resigned from the FBI this past May.

Wednesday, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, said that Republicans recently were forced to call in U.S. Marshals to serve former FBI lawyer Lisa Page with a subpoena to testify before Congress, as he accused Page of “apparently” having “something to hide.” (RELATED: Goodlatte Prepares His RAT TRAP As Page Scurries In The Wrong Neck Of The Swamp)

This came after Page’s lawyer claimed she “will cooperate with this investigation,” even as Page defied that subpoena to appear on Wednesday before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees.

Goodlatte said that Page’s attorney initially agreed to accept service of the subpoena for Page, but “then turned around and immediately tried to reject it.” (VIDEO BELOW)

“So that’s why we sent the marshals to her house, to serve the subpoena. They had to go back three times before they were finally able to reach her.” Goodlatte declared.

After Lisa Page’s no show on Wednesday, President Trump took to twitter blasting her once again in a pair of tweets. (RELATED: Pres Trump Just Took Down Lisa Page In Ultimate Revenge For Defying Her Subpoena)

He said, “Ex-FBI LAYER Lisa Page today defied a House of Representatives issued Subpoena to testify before Congress! Wow, but is anybody really surprised! Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!”

Then, the President added, “How can the Rigged Witch Hunt proceed when it was started, influenced and worked on, for an extended period of time, by former FBI Agent/Lover Peter Strzok? Read his hate filled and totally biased Emails and the answer is clear!”

On Wednesday afternoon, the Republican chairmen of the two committees sent a letter Page and her legal team laying out three options. That includes showing up at a public hearing with Strzok on Thursday, appearing for a closed door deposition Friday, or facing more legal trouble.

“Interviewing your client, Lisa Page, is an important part of this investigation,” Goodlatte and Oversight Committee chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., wrote in the letter. (VIDEO BELOW)

This option would stay contempt proceedings and resolve the Committees’ need to depose your client,” Goodlatte and Gowdy wrote. Page could also appear both Thursday publicly and Friday privately, if she so chooses.

If she does not appear at either, House Judiciary “intends to initiate contempt proceedings on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m.,” the letter said.

“She has been in complete defiance of cooperation with the House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight and Government committee for seven months now. I think it’s very important for her to understand that she should comply with it now before she’s held in contempt of Congress, which could happen as soon as Friday.” Goodlatte stated.

In a statement released Wednesday, Page’s lawyer dismissed Goodlatte’s claim that she has something to hide.

“There is no basis for claims that Lisa has anything to hide or is unwilling to testify,” Amy Jeffress said.

A report by the Inspector General released last month revealed the anti-Trump texts between the two, including an exchange in which Strzok wrote “we’ll stop it,” referring to President Trump winning the election.

Additionally on Wednesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters he’s willing to hold Lisa Page in contempt of Congress if she continues to defy a Congressional subpoena. (RELATED: Paul Ryan Stomps His Foot, Sends Shockwaves Through Lisa Page After Skipping Testimony)
