President Trump is up early this morning! Moreover, he is busy being transparent for the American people in a double tweet storm!
In POTUS’ first tweet he tells us he has a meeting with the publisher of the New York Times!
Additionally, in the meeting he tells us that they actually discussed the topic of FAKE NEWS! POTUS mentions that it was a very good meeting, too!
The Pres says, “Had a very good and interesting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times. Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, “Enemy of the People.” Sad!”
POTUS then moves his laser beam sights onto the subject of illegal immigration.
The 115th Congress is in recess until after Labor Day, September 3rd. Last month, Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader citing “historic obstruction” by the Democrats, partially cancels the August recess. The Senate will be in session next week through August 3rd, according to the Congressional calendar.
There are several outstanding Bills that need to be approved. Specifically, the Bill H.R.5876 – Border Wall Funding Act of 2017/2018. It was introduced to the House in May and has not yet passed the House!
President Trump let our Congress know exactly what he thinks about it in no uncertain terms! POTUS also mentions the other immigration pillars like doing away with the immigration lottery system and catch and release.
POTUS tweets, “I would be willing to “shut down” government if the Democrats do not give us the votes for Border Security, which includes the Wall! Must get rid of Lottery, Catch & Release etc. and finally go to system of Immigration based on MERIT! We need great people coming into our Country!”
