Newt Gingrich has been in and around Washington D.C. since the late 70’s. He knows a thing or three about how D.C. works.
In his latest opinion article for Fox News, Newt reveals the last puzzle piece in the Mueller probe.
Newt comments on the media making a big ado over nothing.
Specifically, regarding the fact that President Trump allowed FULL transparency from his White House Counsel, Don McGahn.
Newt argues that since the counsel spent more than thirty hours speaking with the Mueller probe, “We are now at the end of the failed investigation.”
Newt comments:
“McGahn’s cooperation is historically unique because President Trump waived both executive privilege and attorney-client privilege. President Trump was so confident of his innocence that he waived both of these protections to allow the Special Counsel to thoroughly question the White House attorney.” (Continued Below)
Newt speaks out on the “abusive aggressiveness” of the Mueller team.
First, he cites how Bob Mueller “hired totally biased opponents of Trump – who want to take down the president.”
Secondly, is the indictment of Paul Manafort. Newt reminds everyone that Manafort is on trial for “tax and banking issues that have nothing to do with the election, the Russians, or a question of collusion.”
Additionally, most patriotic American’s were taken aback when Mueller placed Manafort in solitary confinement, which Newt refers to as “an extraordinary abuse of power.” (Continued Below)
In a brilliant deduction, Newt tells us that “Saturday’s New York Times story should be the end of the story.”
The title of the New York Times piece is the “White House Counsel, Don McGahn, Has Cooperated Extensively in Mueller Inquiry.”
Mueller has nothing. Again. “With McGahn’s 30 hours of testimony, it is clear there is no evidence of President Trump either colluding with the Russians or engaging in illegal obstruction of justice,” Newt cites.
Newt noted that “Don McGahn asserted throughout the interviews that “he never saw Mr. Trump go beyond his legal authorities.”
