It’s Labor Day weekend in America, and while many people are celebrating a three day weekend, the President is cranking up the heat while triggering his haters.
President Trump continued to call out the corruption in the Obama-era Justice Department, quoting a statement from Dan Bongino, conservative commentator and former Secret Service agent.
Starting late on Friday night, the Commander-in-Tweet unleashed a torrent against some of the usual suspects, but found time for some new targets. After some throat-clearing cheerleading for the Rasmussen poll, which indicated a 48% approval rating for his presidency – “higher than President Obama” – President Trump went into attack mode.
The Washington Post/ABC poll, an apparent Bloomberg breach of confidentiality, the news system in general, Canada, the FISA court, the Dept. of Justice, and the dossier (or the “Fake Dossier,” as the President calls it) were all on the menu, per Deadline.
President Trump took to Twitter Saturday morning, quoting radio Bongino, slamming the Trump-Russia dossier that was paid for the Clinton team was fake and nothing has been verified.
Echoing Bongino’s remarks, he pointed out that the FISA court did not hold a hearing, violating his 4th amendment rights. (Continued Below)
Bongino called the situation a scandal, and accused former Justice Department officials of pushing to create a police state.
President Trump’s quote refers to a report by Judicial Watch, which states the Justice Department admitted in a court filing that no hearings were held by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant applications targeting Carter Page, “the subject of four controversial FISA warrants.”
