The new acting Attorney General came into the Mueller probe in mid-play and he has not been a disappointment with his game!
On Wednesday, he addressed the media and the Democrats as they tried to throw him curve ball after curve ball.
Their main line of inquiry was WOULD WHITAKER ALSO RECUSE HIMSELF FROM THE RUSSIA PROBE.
If Matthew were to recuse himself, then the Mueller team could keep playing ball the same way. But the Democrats weren’t expecting such a solid super star like Whitaker! (MORE BELOW.)
Whitaker steps up and swings a home run!
Townhall reported Chuck Schumer, Minority Leader of the Senate as saying that the “acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker should recuse himself from overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”
The reason Schumer gave on Wednesday were due to Whitaker’s “previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general,” per Townhall.
Apparently, the new acting AG has no intention of recusing himself. The Washington Post reported, “on Thursday, two people close to Whitaker said he does not plan to take himself off the Russia case. They also said he is deeply skeptical of any effort to force the president’s testimony through a subpoena.” BOOM! Looks like the field has changed and Mueller and Democrats and the leftist media need a new play book!
