In a spectacular piece of political legal 4D chess, the Washington Times exposed the possible moves of high-powered Attorney’s in Washington D.C.
The game plan? If Mueller can indict Trump supporters on LYING for Congress, then the Trump legal team can indict Comey for LYING to Congress, too. (MORE BELOW.)
It takes TWO to tango…Cohen was recently indicted for lying to Congress, why not Comey?
The Washington Times reported, “The Cohen plea of lying to Congress by the special counsel raises the very serious question as to why the special counsel has refused to investigate and prosecute the false statements and testimony of James Comey, the main accuser of the president, before the Senate Judiciary and intel committees,” former Trump attorney John Dowd told The Washington Times.”
It only makes sense that if Mueller would go after Cohen for lying to Congress. And go after Papadopoulos and Flynn for lying to the FBI. Why not go after the man who was his bestie for doing the SAME THING?
“Trump supporters say that if Mr. Mueller can target Mr. Cohen for lying, then why doesn’t the Justice Department go after others?” the Washington Times noted.
Specifically, “they mention not only Mr. Comey but also James R. Clapper, former head of national intelligence; Democratic attorney Michael Avenatti; dossier creator Christopher Steele; and his handler, Fusion GPS founder Glenn R. Simpson,” the Washington Times reported. (MORE BELOW.)
