President Trump signed the H.R. 2 “Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018″ or Farm Bill Thursday.
Ahead of the $400 Billion dollar Bill signing, President Trump tweeted a hilarious parody skit of The Green Acres theme song. (VIDEO BELOW.)
Good-bye city life! Green Acres is the place to be!
Way back in 2005, during the Emmy Awards show, Donald J. Trump and actress Megan Mullally recreated the sitcom theme song about a couple who moved from New York City to the ‘boonies’ to become farmers.
If Megan Mullally looks familiar it is because she played Karen Walker on the NBC sitcom, Will & Grace. She won two Emmy’s for her role as ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress’ in a Comedy Series in 2000 and 2006.
President Trump tweeted the video and said, “Farm Bill signing in 15 minutes!” Then added the hashtag #Emmys and even included the hash tag for “Throw Back Thursday.” #TBT. Clever, Mr. President, very clever!
On a serious note, President Trump keeps his promises. And one of his campaign promises was to help the farmers. (VIDEO BELOW.)
Every five years, the Farm Bill is re-signed.
The Hill reported, “Lawmakers passed a $400 billion farm bill that reauthorized agriculture and conservation programs earlier this year.”
President Trump was greeted by Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue who showed great support for the Farm Bill and President Trump.
“The final five-year farm bill would set policies and reauthorize farm, conservation, nutrition, rural development, agricultural trade and other programs,” as reported by the Herald & Review. (VIDEO BELOW.)
