Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to Twitter Thursday afternoon where she called out CNN after they attacked the President for visiting troops and signing MAGA hats overseas.
President Trump and First Lady Melania made a visit overseas where they surprised men and women stationed in Iraq the day after Christmas, which was followed by another visit with troops in Germany.
CNN was slammed for what many called overwhelmingly negative coverage of President Trump’s visit to the troops overseas.
Further, CNN could barely report a kind word toward the President regarding his trip overseas.
On Wednesday evening, their reporting criticized some troops bringing MAGA hats for the President to sign and how this may be against the guidelines, which forbids active members of the military from participating in “political activities.”
The article by CNN, titled: “Troops bringing Trump hats to sign may violate military rule,” was criticized by the Press Secretary, who fired back at the network on Thursday. (Continued Below)
Sarah Sanders wrote on Twitter, “CNN will attack anyone who supports President Trump, including the brave men and women of our military who fight everyday to protect our freedom.”
However, Sanders wasn’t the only person to mock and push back at CNN’s ridiculous story.
Many came forward pointing out CNN’s bias along with wondering if Obama received the same treatment when he and Michelle signed autographs during their visit with troops. (Continued Below)

For real though, crap like @CNN bashing troops for having #MAGA hats in their personal possessions is literally how we got Trump.

imagine CNN sitting around in a conference table thinking of how they can bash Trump next and then thinking this would be a good idea https://t.co/fYAZBxztXE

Meanwhile, some pointed out that President Obama also signed autographs when visiting troops:

It was okay though when President Obama and Michelle went through and signed autographs for all the troops because you like the Obamas and you dont like Trump?

Absolutely. I had @BarackObama and @JoeBiden at my base and my troops got autographs on all kinds of things, including campaign memorabilia. Never crossed my mind to question there actions because I didn’t need to, dammit.
