Despite calls from President Trump to put an end to all partisan investigations, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) continues to push forward.
Schiff announced Wednesday his plan for sweeping investigations into President Trump that will go “beyond Russia.” The only problem, however, is much of what he announced had already been done back in September 2018, as several conservative figures called out on Wednesday following Schiff’s press conference.
Schiff claims he will not be “intimidated by threats or attacks,” which he primarily was signaling to remarks made by the President in his State of the Union Address.
Schiff said in a tweet, “I can understand why the idea of meaningful oversight terrifies the President. Several of his close associates are going to jail, others await trial, and criminal investigations continue.” He added, “We’re going to do our job and won’t be distracted or intimidated by threats or attacks.”

President Trump responded to Adam Schiff’s scare tactics on Wednesday after a news conference and said, “He is just a political hack who’s trying to build a name for himself. It is called presidential harassment and it is unfortunate, and it really hurts out country.” (Continued Below)
President Trump took to Twitter Thursday morning where he called out Adam Schiff for Presidential harassment:
The President wrote, “So now Congressman Adam Schiff announces, after having found zero Russian Collusion, that he is going to be looking at every aspect of my life, both financial and personal, even though there is no reason to be doing so. Never happened before! Unlimited Presidential Harassment.”
Trump continued, “The Dems and their committees are going “nuts.” The Republicans never did this to President Obama, there would be no time left to run government. I hear other committee heads will do the same thing. Even stealing people who work at White House! A continuation of Witch Hunt!”
He added, “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT! It should never be allowed to happen again!” (Continued Below)
In another tweet, President Trump wrote, “Democrats at the top are killing the Great State of Virginia. If the three failing pols were Republicans, far stronger action would be taken. Virginia will come back HOME Republican) in 2020!”
It appears Democrats want to run a shadow government alongside Robert Mueller, because they are not happy with the 2016 election results.
