Republicans are fed up with the double standards that Democrats seemingly turn a blind eye to, but they are fighting back to hold accountable those who have knowingly lied to Congress.
Namely, on one particular matter, President Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, misled Congress on several occasions, however, those who care about the rule of law are seeing that he doesn’t get away with it.
62 days after Michael Cohen testified to Congress under oath, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Elijah Cummings (D-MD), has not surprisingly failed to act– even though he vowed to do so.
Cummings warned Cohen before his testimony in February, “I will nail you to the cross if you lie to the committee.”

According to Reps. Mark Green (R-TN), Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Mark Meadows (R-NC) Cohen unquestionably lied. (Continued Below)
Tuesday on the House floor, Rep. Green introduced a resolution to force a House vote this week on whether to refer Michael Cohen’s recent congressional testimony to the Justice Department for a perjury investigation.
A vote related to the resolution is expected to occur on Wednesday, according to the office of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), per the The Hill.
Cohen reportedly lied under oath six times while testifying before the House Oversight and Reform Committee in February, in turn, Green introduced the resolution to refer Cohen’s testimony to the Justice Department. (Video Below)
Meadows wrote on Twitter Tuesday, “Michael Cohen lied to investigators, lied to the Oversight Committee under oath at least twice, and is now even openly lobbying Democrats to help keep him out of jail. We’re forcing a House floor vote to hold him accountable. Bravo @RepMarkGreen.”
Jordan added, “CohenLied. Time to hold him accountable.”
