Things appear to be heating up, as former FBI Director James Comey reacted to recent statements made by Attorney General William Barr and a statement made by President Trump.
Comey, who is likely a key figure being investigated related to the origins of the Russia probe, apparently is not happy with what was said during Barr’s interview with Fox Host Bill Hemmer.
Barr reiterated his concern on how potential spying efforts into President Trump’s campaign was able to happen in the first place. And now, he says he has more questions than answers after looking at initial facts and statements made by those who were involved.
He also voiced that he is troubled that high up officials across the intel community may have been trying to put their thumb on the scale to sway the 2016 election, and he seeks to get to the bottom of it all.
As clips of Barr’s interview began to surface, President Trump released a statement that read, “My Campaign for President was conclusively spied on. Nothing like this has ever happened in American Politics. A really bad situation. TREASON means long jail sentences, and this was TREASON!”
Comey reacted to both Barr and Trump with a pair of statements of his own, where he accused Barr of “sliming his own department.” See Below
Comey’s statements read, “The AG should stop sliming his own Department. If there are bad facts, show us, or search for them professionally and then tell us what you found. An AG must act like the leader of the Department of Justice, an organization based on truth. Donald Trump has enough spokespeople.”
