Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a farewell statement honoring her last day as White House press secretary in the Trump administration.
Sanders expressed on Friday that she will leave her post with her “head held high.”
“Today I’ll walk out the gates of the White House for the last time as Press Secretary with my head held high,” Sanders wrote.
“It’s been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to work with President @realDonaldTrump and his amazing team the last three and a half years. You’re the best…Thank you!” She exclaimed.
Sanders announced earlier in the month that she was leaving her position as press secretary after fiercely supporting the President and his administration.
She also said, “I am blessed and forever grateful to @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to serve and proud of everything he’s accomplished. I love the President and my job. The most important job I’ll ever have is being a mom to my kids and it’s time for us to go home. Thank you, Mr. President!” (Continued Below)
The President praised her in a series of tweets shortly after sharing the news of her departure, calling her a “special person with extraordinary talents” and publicly encouraging her to one day run for governor of her home state of Arkansas.
First Lady Melania Trump announced on Tuesday that Stephanie Grisham will be the next White House Press Secretary and Communications Director.
Grisham will be President Trump’s third press secretary since taking office, following Sean Spicer who served for six months before Sanders. (Video Below)
