On Saturday, President Trump ripped Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) for being a “brutal bully” for his treatment of border patrol officials at committee hearings that he chairs.

Further, the President described Cumming’s district as “far worse and more dangerous” than the southern border, adding that “no human being would want to live there.”

“Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous,” President Trump tweeted.

Trump was apparently referring to Cummings’ questioning of border officials in his role as chairman of the House Oversight Committee. This month, he yelled at acting Homeland Security chief Kevin McAleenan for saying the department was doing its “level best” when it comes to the humanitarian crisis at the border, as reported by Fox News.

“What does that mean? What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces, can’t take a shower? Come on man,” Cummings yelled. “What’s that about? None of us would have our children in that position. They are human beings.”

President Trump took note and fired back at Cummings and said that the detention centers at the border are “clean, efficient and well run, just very crowded.” He then compared that to the conditions in Cummings’ district. (Continued Below)

The Commander in Chief also pointed out, “His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place”.

He added, “Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!”

Cummings responded later Saturday, saying it is his constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch: “But, it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents.” (Video Below)

“Mr. President, I go home to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and I go and fight for my neighbors. It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But, it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents,” Rep. Cummings responded on Twitter.

Like clockwork, Democrats defended Cummings while accusing President Trump of a “racist” attack toward the Maryland congressman.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to Twitter and wrote, “RepCummings is a champion in the Congress and the country for civil rights and economic justice, a beloved leader in Baltimore, and deeply valued colleague. We all reject racist attacks against him and support his steadfast leadership.”

The mayor of Baltimore, Bernard Jack Young tweeted, “It’s completely unacceptable for the political leader of our country to denigrate a vibrant American City like Baltimore and to viciously attack U.S. Representative Elijah Cummings a patriot and a hero.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said on Twitter,Donald Trump’s tweets are ugly and racist. They’re purposefully designed to turn us against one another. We cannot let that happen. Instead, we must follow my friend Elijah Cummings’ example and keep doing the work for the American people.

Rep. Adam Schiff claimed, “RepCummings is the conscience of our caucus. When we need moral clarity, he provides it. When we need direction, he is our guiding light. He’s a better man than Trump will ever be, and that’s what threatens the President”. (Video Below)

Saturday morning on “Fox and Friends”, Kimberly Klacik a Baltimore County Republican, told her story exposing West Baltimore, which is Rep. Cummings district.
