President Trump Issues A Statement To Reporters In Reaction To Sondland’s Testimony: “If You Weren’t Fake News, You’d Cover It Properly”

President Donald Trump spoke to reporters Wednesday before he departed to Austin, Texas to tour the Apple Manufacturing Plant, amid Ambassador Gordon Sondlond testifying before the House Intel Committee.

The President told the press that Sondland’s testimony means “it’s all over” for the proceedings and that the House inquiry into the Commander in Chief should come to a halt.

“I just noticed one thing and that would mean it’s all over,” President Trump said to reporters before reading from handwritten notes taken during Sondland’s testimony.

Sondland had testified about a conversation that he had with President Trump where he directly asked the President “what he wanted from Ukraine”.

“And it was a very short, abrupt conversation,” Sondland publicly testified Wednesday. “He was not in a good mood. And he just said, ‘I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell Zelensky to do the right thing.’ Something to that effect.”

“Ready, have the cameras rolling?” President Trump asked the press as he read off his response to Sondland. “‘I want nothing’, from Ukraine… that’s what I said. ‘I want nothing.’ I said it twice. … I don’t know him very well, I have not spoken to him much.”

“This is not a man I know well, seems like a nice guy though, but I don’t know him well. He actually supported other candidates, not me. But here’s my response. Now, if you weren’t fake news, you’d cover it properly. I say to the ambassador, ‘I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell President Zelensky to do the right thing,'” President Trump said. [Emphasized].
