President Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday morning before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) interviewed with host George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week”.

She was asked to respond to criticism directed at her from the Commander in Chief but deflected by saying, “I’d like to talk about some more pleasant subjects”.

President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday morning: “George @GStephanopoulos, ask Crazy Nancy why she allowed Adam “Shifty” Schiff to totally make up my conversation with the Ukrainian President & read his false words to Congress and the world, as though I said it? He got caught! Ask why hearing was most unfair & biased in history?”

He later asked, “Why did Nervous Nancy allow corrupt politician Shifty Schiff to lie before Congress? He must be a Witness, and so should she!”

George Stephanopoulos told Pelosi the president tweeted a question for him to ask of her, however, the House Speaker did not answer the question.

“President Trump sent out a tweet to me asking me to ask you a question. … I’m not going to read the whole thing. … He calls you ‘Crazy Nancy’, again wants you to justify Adam Schiff’s comments during the House hearings, and he says your hearings were unfair and biased,” the ABC host said, then proceeded to play a clip of President Trump who said, “[Pelosi] is obsessed with impeachment. She’s done nothing. She’s gonna go down as one of the worst Speakers in the history of our country.” (Continued Below)

“Let me just say, it’s Sunday morning. I’d like to talk about some more pleasant subjects than the erratic nature of the president of the United States,” Pelosi said. “But he has to know that every knock from him is a boost. He’s the president who said I should have impeached George Bush because of the war in Iraq. And now, he’s saying I’m obsessed.”

“I held off on this because frankly, I said Donald Trump is not worth impeachment. He’s not worth it. But when he crossed that line on Ukraine, he violated the Constitution in such a way that could not be ignored,” she continued.

“I don’t like to spend too much time on his crazy tweets, because everything he said is a projection. When he calls somebody crazy, he knows that he is. Everything he says, you can just translate it back to who he is. But again, it’s Sunday morning, let’s be optimistic about the future– a future that will not have Donald Trump in the White House, one way or another,” Pelosi said. [Emphasis added]. (Video Below)
