Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff is now implying that thousands of coronavirus “casualties” in America are the result of President Trump not being removed from office during Democrats’ failed impeachment effort. He also compared daily COVID-19 deaths to lives lost in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Schiff presented his assessment while interviewing with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell on Monday.

“Well, we certainly told the Senators that he was not gonna change,” Schiff said in relation to the Senate impeachment trial. “And there was no way to constrain him — that he is who he is, and he would continue to operate the way that he had. And, indeed that’s exactly what we’ve seen since.”

He continued, “Now, the one thing that I think we have dramatically understated is when we asked the question, ‘If you found him guilty, do you really need to remove him, given that there is another election only nine months away? How much can he really do?'”

“We said a lot, but little did we know just how great the casualties would be,” Schiff said before comparing the amount of daily coronavirus deaths to the 9/11 terrorist attack.

“You know, some days we lose the equivalent of the amount of people we lost on 9/11,” Schiff indicated. “And, you know, I think that there’s no way we could have foreseen just how tragic [Trump’s] malfeasance would be in the remaining months of his administration.” Video Below
