Michael McFaul — the former US Ambassador to Russia during the early years of the Obama Administration — claimed on Friday that President Trump has “lost” the Intelligence Community, the State Department and the military. He then questioned how the President can “continue to serve as our Commander-In-Chief.”
McFaul’s statement came in wake of The Atlantic’s smear piece alleging that Trump made disparaging remarks about deceased World War I soldiers when cancelling a planned trip to a cemetary in France.
“Trump has lost the Intelligence Community. He has lost the State Department. He has lost the military,” McFaul tweeted. “How can he continue to serve as our Commander in Chief ?”
The former Ambassador later deleted his tweet as more information came out that debunked The Atlantic’s story.

In response, investigative reporter Sara Carter fired back at McFaul before his tweet was deleted.
Carter told McFaul that he and his Trump-hating buddies may soon have to “suck it up” if the President wins the 2020 election.
She then warned the former ambassador to be careful if he or his acquaintances in the Washington swamp plan some kind of “nafarious operation” against President Trump this go-around, similar to what happened in the 2016 election when the Trump campaign appears to have been systematically spied on.
“@realDonaldTrump is the President of these United States – he was duly elected by the American people. He was not appointed by a bureaucracy,” Sara said in a reply to McFaul. “It’s pretty serious what you’re saying. When he wins this November you, and your traitorous friends, will have to suck it up.”
“By the way, you don’t speak for anyone but yourself. However, if you’re planning on some nefarious operation again-thanks for the heads up,” she continued. “I’m sure someone will be keeping a close eye on u and your cronies.”
“Remember everyone don’t be silent,” she concluded with the hashtag #UnsilentMajority. See Below
