Joe Biden on Thursday was pressed by a reporter at the White House about coronavirus vaccines, which was made possible because former President Donald Trump fast-tracked Operation Warp Speed to facilitate and accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics.
President Trump had also signed an executive order in December that would prioritize Americans’ access to the vaccine. His administration said it had a plan in place to get doses to 300 million Americans within six months.
A reporter on Tuesday asked Biden: “You set the goal at 100 million vaccines, is that high enough? Should you set the bar higher? That’s basically where the US is right now.”
In response, Biden appeared thrown off as it seemed he did not receive a scripted answer to the reporter’s question.
“When I announced it, you all said it was not possible,” Biden said.
“Come on. Gimme a break man!” he then declared to the reporter. Video Below

Moments earlier, however, Biden had claimed that his “entire administration will always be honest and transparent with the good news and the bad. We’ll level with you when we make a mistake. We’ll straight up say what happened.”
