CNN’s John Berman on Monday claimed that former President Donald Trump is getting impeached “for inciting the erection”, before swiftly correcting himself.
“So you are going to sit and listen to the Senate impeachment trial of the former president of the United States who has been impeached for inciting the erection, inciting the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol,” Berman said on “New Day”.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also said “incited the erection” but quickly corrected himself, saying “insurrection” while speaking on the floor January 22, as previously reported by Swamp Drain.
“The fact is: the House will deliver the Article of Impeachment to the Senate. The Senate will conduct a trial of the impeachment to Donald Trump. It will be a full trial. It will be a fair trial. But make no mistake, there will be a trial and when that trial ends, Senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the erection– insurrection– against the United States,” Schumer said.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) took part in using the word “erection” during an interview on CNN last week. “Kevin McCarthy is saying in the photo is: I don’t stand for anything. I don’t care about anything. I accept my own personal ambition, and if I have to embrace someone who just incited an erection– an insurrection against the Capitol that resulted in multiple deaths, then I will do it,” Schiff said in part, when appearing to vent his irritation over House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s visit with the 45th president in Florida on Thursday. CNN’s Anderson Cooper additionally used the word “erection” last month, though he also immediately corrected himself.
