Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday blasted Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s embrace of “loony lies and conspiracy theories” as a “cancer for the Republican Party”, The Hill reported.
“Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality,” McConnell said in a statement first shared with The Hill. “This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene fired back on Twitter Monday, expressing that “the real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully. This is why we are losing our country.”

Democrats are threatening to force a floor vote this week to oust Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from the Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee if House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) does not remove her first.
McCarthy is set to meet with her in Washington as early as Tuesday. Some Republicans said they did not anticipate McCarthy booting her off the committees given that she has the backing of former President Trump, who still holds enormous sway within the GOP, per The Hill. Continued Below
Rep. Green on Monday, however, took to Twitter warning, “If Democrats remove me from my committees, I can assure them that the precedent they are setting will be used extensively against members on their side once we regain the majority after the 2022 elections. And we will regain the majority, make no mistake about that.”

Rep. Greene also wondered, “Who should be removed from those committees? Me – brand new to Congress? OR The career politicians who’ve enslaved Americans to nearly $30 trillion in debt, puts up walls to protect themselves but no wall to protect you, and murdered babies with your tax dollars?”
Who should be removed from those committees?
Me – brand new to Congress?
OR
The career politicians who've enslaved Americans to nearly $30 trillion in debt, puts up walls to protect themselves but no wall to protect you, and murdered babies with your tax dollars?

In a series of tweets, the Georgia congresswoman went on to say:
For the last 20 yrs I've been raising a family, creating jobs, signing paychecks
For the last 20 yrs Congress has run up trillions in debt, bogged us down in endless wars, and stripped Americans of precious civil liberties
But they want you to believe I'm the "greatest threat"

Bush, Biden, Kerry, Hillary, & Steny conspired to push the biggest lie of the 21st century, the Iraq War, costing our country trillions of dollars and thousands of lives
Now they're showered with adoration by Fake News reporters (who used to be "anti-war")
House of Hypocrites?
