Three House Republican lawmakers filed a lawsuit accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) of violating the Constitution when their pay was docked for refusing to wear face coverings on the House floor earlier this year.

The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, and Ralph Norman of South Carolina. The three were each fined $500 for ignoring a rule mandating masks on the House floor. The House voted to impose fines for noncompliance with mask rules in a party-line vote in early January. The money was withheld from their paychecks, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Nancy Pelosi had said in May that masks would continue to be required for members and staff until everyone was vaccinated. The rules were relaxed in June when the Office of Attending Physician said that masks would be mandatory for those who were not fully vaccinated, but not for those who had been vaccinated.

During an interview Tuesday on “War Room”, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told host Steve Bannon, “It is beyond dysfunctional. Congress is broken. Congress is not only failing you people at home, Congress is trying to destroy your lives.”

“They fined us; myself, Thomas Massie, Ralph Norman, and several others– for not wearing masks on the House floor, and I gotta tell you, what a hypocrisy it is. The queen of the House of hypocrites is Nancy Pelosi,” Rep. Greene said.

“She fined us for not wearing masks, when in fact, she herself, was sitting up there without a mask on the exact same day. And so, we filed a federal lawsuit. We are suing Nancy Pelosi, and the reason why we are suing her is because she mistreats us in the House of Representatives the same way you are mistreated at home,” she explained. Continued Below

“We want to do this so you can have courage at home to stand up against mask mandates and to stand up against anyone telling you [that] you have to take a vaccine that is not FDA approved, and it is not their decision. It’s your decision what you do with your body,” the Georgia congresswoman insisted.

“That’s why we’re doing this. Go to SpeakerMaskHole.com, because that’s what she is,” Rep. Greene said.

“She’s a ‘maskhole’. And please check it out,” she added. Video Below
