Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf is facing mounting backlash over her decision to help illegal immigrants escape capture by ICE.
After learning that an ICE raid was about to occur, Schaaf made a public announcement, warning illegal immigrants 24 hours in advance. What would have led to thousands of arrests, led to only hundreds. And majority of those who were captured had criminal records.
President Trump has already condemned the act by Mayor Schaaf and hinted that she will face repricussions. You can read more on that HERE.
And now, Attorney General Jeff Sessions took to the air to voice his disgust with what Schaaf did and what she is now facing as a result.
On Friday, Sessions appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” to discuss what he thought of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s decision to warn illegals of an ice raid.

Sessions said:
“This is a radical ideology. It’s contrary to the American law. The supreme law of the land is American immigration law, and it must be enforced else we will just have open borders, and that cannot be.”
“We are going to use every lawful tool we have to push back against this activity. You can be sure of that. I will say, however, that ultimately, in this country, the American people have the final word. And they have got to analyze what their leaders are doing, and if they are promoting these kind of unlawful, unwise and dangerous policies, they need to be held to account. And when the political needle starts moving, I think you will see politicians start changing.” Video Below
