Shepard Smith recently interviewed with Time Magazine.
Likewise, The Hilltweeted a controversial portion of it, trying to stir things up between Fox News anchors.
If inter-Fox fussing was the goal, the leftist media arm didn’t really get the blow-out they were looking for. But, Shepard Smith is probably hiding under his desk after Hannity and Laura Ingraham responded.
Shep started it. And, with great grace and professionalism, both Laura and Sean ended it!
In the interview with Time Magazine, Shep was commenting on the difference between his Breaking News show (which is often interrupted by Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ White House Press Briefing’s) and the evening Fox News broadcasts.
He said, “We serve different masters. We work for different reporting chains. We have different rules. They don’t really have rules on the opinion side.” (Continued below.)
“They can say whatever they want. If it’s their opinion. I don’t really watch a lot of opinion programming. I’m busy.” However, Shep didn’t stop there, though.
He continued, “I know that when something big happens, people turn to us. I think people always will. People who maybe aren’t with us all the time, who aren’t regular watchers, maybe there is some sort of confusion about what’s opinion and what’s news.”
“But I think our audience understands the difference and comes to us when they need us.” (Continued below.)
“I get it,” he says, “that some of our opinion programming is there strictly to be entertaining. He continued, “I get that. I don’t work there.” And then, Shepard said it! The coup d’état, Shepard went there!
He said, “I wouldn’t work there. I don’t want to sit around and yell at each other and talk about your philosophy and my philosophy. That sounds horrible to me.”
The Hill tweeted the following just to stir it all up:
“Shep Smith: Fox News opinion programs are strictly entertainment.”

Sean Hannity who has the NUMBER ONE SHOW across all cable networks in his time slot was VERY professional in his response. Sean was careful to tweet that Shep was good at Breaking News. Which is Shep’s forte! (Continued below.)
Sean Hannity responds to Shep. He said, “While Shep is a friend with political views I do not share, and great at breaking news, he is clueless about what we do every day.”
Sean made it clear that not only does the Hannity show break news, but also breaks IMPORTANT REAL news! Sean continued in his tweet, “Hannity breaks news daily-Warrant on a Trump assoc, the unmasking scandal, leaking intel, Fisa abuse, HRC lawbreaking, dossier and more REAL NEWS! 9p”

Laura Ingraham, who is also categorized at Fox News as “opinion,” shot back at Shep too. She snarled back with great class! (Continued below.)
Always liked Shep, but his comments were inconsiderate & inaccurate. The hard working team at the Ingraham Angle does real reporting, develops impt sources and scores big interviews. Very proud of them. https://t.co/3aR1EHAK3Z
