Thursday afternoon, Jared and Ivanka Trump boarded a helicopter in Washington. They were headed to New York.
The helicopter; however, experienced engine trouble.
THEY ARE OKAY. NO REASON TO FEAR!
The First Daughter and her husband are okay. Fortunately, the helicopter had twin engines. When one of them failed, the other enabled the pilot to secure the couple to solid ground at Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Once Ivanka and Jared arrived at the airport, they arranged a flight to New York via a commercial airline.
Additionally, it was reported, “The aircraft was a Sikorsky helicopter owned by the Trump Organization, according to information recorded by the aviation website LiveATC.net.”
There were four people aboard, the pilot, a bodyguard assigned to Ivanka and Jared and the couple themselves.
Thank goodness for a trusty pilot and swift and safe thinking on his part. The Kushner’s are safe!
The last time there was a chopper crash carrying three Trump aides was 1989 as reported by the New York Times. In that case, “moments before the helicopter plunged into the parkway’s wooded median from 2,800 feet at 1:40 P.M. It’s main overhead four-blade rotor and its tail rotor broke off the body of the craft, the state police said.” Unfortunately, they did not survive.
