Just another day walking in the park for Senator Ted Cruz as he GRILLS Mark Zuckerberg for censoring conservatives. Because of the time constraints that Cruz had to ask questions to Mark, he jumped right in!
Cruz started with “are you a First Amendment speaker expressing your views or are you a neutral public forum allowing everyone to speak?” It was a straight forward question, and it completely flabbergasted Zuckerberg. (VIDEO BELOW)
First, Cruz started with a long list of conservatives who have been censored by Facebook. Second, he listed off the liberal sites who have not been censored. This did not leave a lot of wiggle room for the inexperienced liberal 33 year old to wiggle around in. And, it is GREAT to watch.
Senator Cruz asked if Mark was aware of the numerous conservative stories like C-PAC, Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck who had been censored? Also, Cruz continued with the Lois Lerner IRS Scandal and the Chick-Fil-A appreciation page. Then, Cruz listed the blocked Fox News reporter and two dozen catholic pages.
Additionally, Cruz mentioned, “and most recently, blocked Trump supporters Diamond and Silks’ page with 1.2 million Face Book followers after determining that their content brand were quote, unsafe.”
Then, Cruz went on to list left leaning sites and asked if Mark knew if they had been blocked. Specifically, sites like, Planned Parenthood, MoveOn.org or any Democratic candidates? Zuckerberg was left to answer, “I don’t know.” (VIDEO BELOW)
Next, Cruz said, “To a great many Americans, that appears to be a pervasive pattern of political bias. Do you agree with that assessment?”
Zuckerberg fumbled for words. Cruz continued hammering Mark on knowing the political make up of his employees. Furthermore, after admitting that many of the employees are probably liberal since they are in Silicon Valley, Zuckerberg continued to fumble for words.
Additionally, Cruz also pointed out that Zuckerberg is unaware of the political breakdown of his employees and the 15,000-20,000 people who police content for the site, leaving Zuckerberg struggling to explain why conservatives should not be worried that the social media site is apt to block their content. I do know people that have been censored on FB , one person was told they were posting to much. There has been times when I could not share a post or no share button so I looked for another way to post it. This thing with Diamond + Silk is so sad should never have happened.
In the discussion forum Deplorable for Pags there is never a share button for posts. I find it increasingly frustrating that on my Facebook page, I am constantly bombarded with liberal ads and news stories. Equally frustrating is the way liberals speak to conservatives with hate and downright childish bullying, and when it’s reported the findings are in favor of the liberal. There is a group of us conservatives who are looking for a new location outside of Facebook to gather to discuss our thoughts. Facebook is just too biased. While we’re expected to mind our P&Qs, or face “Facebook jail”, liberals can say anything without consequences.
The Deplorable pAge was compromised if it’s the group with over 400 thousand. If they post a bunch of liberal stuff. I’d get out of their group.
He certainly called him on the carpet, but a “SLAM?” Melodramatic enough?
They certainly do sensor content. Facebook doesn’t allow nudity? ARE YOU SERIOUS? The only pull posts when someone reports it, and they’ve pulled some posts that were utterly ridiculous because some butt-hurt-namby-pamby-lonely-troublemaker doesn’t have anything better to do.
Facebook is FLOODED with left-wingnut nonsense, so you can’t tell me they aren’t biased, and to blame it on the geographical location of the offices is ludircrous. It doesn’t matter WHERE you operate or live, this is AMERICA, there is no THOUGHT POLICE. In this climate of social unrest, you have to be able to stand up for yourself, and have your own mind.
It would be nice to see someone REALLY slam him. Back him into a corner, piss him off, and let him pull out enough rope to hang himself.
