Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee gave Rosenstein until 5 p.m. to hand over the FBI documents. The DOJ and FBI have been stonewalling the documents for months.

Moreover, 5 p.m. came and went. And true to form, the Congressional committees join forces. Specifically, they write a resolution that will burn the eyebrows off of Rosenstein when he reads it.

Sara A. Carter reports Congressman Jim Jordan (OH-R) saying, “If they don’t comply with the resolution they know the remedies the House has, contempt and impeachment,” said Jordan.

If we don’t get that information entitled to us, everybody knows that we’ll do what we have to do to get it done.”

Furthermore, Mark Meadows (NC-R) tweets, “The DOJ and FBI have been given a choice: be part of the ‘clean up’ team, or be a part of the ‘cover up’ team.”

Meadows exposes the stonewallers and says, “Based on their decisions so far, their intentions are clear: to continue the obstruction. If so, the House should vote to compel them to hand over the documents.”

The House committee voted 15 to 11 for the resolution giving Rosenstein seven days to turn over the documents. Additionally, “the resolution does not include a penalty but Jordan noted that the lawmakers are prepared to file impeachment or contempt against Rosenstein.”

Sara gives the details of where the resolution is and tells us it, “is expected to sit on the House floor until members return from their break after the next week.”
