Late last night, Politico reports that U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Huvelle DISMISSES THE LAWSUIT that Roger Stone and Trump campaign colluded with Russia to hack the DNC.
Judge Huvelle said the case was “too flimsy“ when it tried to “tie the Trump campaign and Stone’s alleged actions to the nation’s capital.” (MORE BELOW.)
Who started the FLIMSY lawsuit?
To review, this is the lawsuit that was filed last year by two DNC donors who are part of “the Trump resistance group, Protect Democracy,“ Politco reports.
Furthermore, Politco reports although they dismissed this one they “might refile the case elsewhere.” No doubt in time for the 2018 mid-terms.
The basis of the dismissed lawsuit is a witch hunt.
The group was out to make it look like Roger Stone is the one who set up the whole Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0 DNC hack! This is truly a witch hunt.
Fox News reports, the dismissed lawsuit claimed that “the Trump campaign and former adviser Roger Stone colluded with WikiLeaks. And the Russian government to publish hacked Democratic National Committee emails during the presidential election.”
Is the witch hunt legal?
This landmark ruling is on the heels of Judge Ellis’ recent ruling. Judge Ellis is the one on the case for Paul Manafort, former campaign manager to then candidate Trump.
District Court Judge T.S. Ellis was not happy with the way the Manafort case was going and wanted to see the original mandate from Rod Rosenstein as written to Mueller for the Special Counsel.
After the mandate was produced, Judge Ellis recently ruled that Rosentein’s guidelines to Mueller are expansive and gives Mueller “wide latitude when deciding whether to target a Trump person.” (MORE BELOW.)
Manafort lost the ruling to have his case dismissed because of the phrase “any links” to Russia in the original mandate written by Rosenstein, as reported by the Washington Times.
Basically, we have one ruling that says the witch hunt can legally take place. Moreover, we have another ruling that says, even though it can take place, the lines trying to be drawn are “too flimsy.”
