NBC’s investigative reporter Tom Winter unveiled a major breakthrough, and Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch received more documents.

The only problem is, once again, the material is so heavily redacted – the American people will have a difficult time deciphering the truth.

Rewind to April 25th:

In late April, both the Daily Caller and Judicial Watch teamed up “to sue the Department of State for documents related to Christopher Steele, the former British spy who authored the unverified anti-Trump dossier.”

However, the documents arrived. 

We will now have the chance to shine light on the beginning of the Mueller Witch Hunt– if it began on the false pretense of “the bought and paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton dirty dossier.” (Continued Below)

Judicial Watch announced Friday the FBI turned over 70 pages of heavily redacted records about Christopher Steele, the former British spy, hired with Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee funds, who authored the infamous Dossier targeting President Trump during last year’s presidential campaign.

The documents show that Steele was cut off as a “Confidential Human Source” (CHS) after he disclosed his relationship with the FBI to a third party.  The documents show at least 11 FBI payments to Steele in 2016 and document that he was admonished for unknown reasons in February, 2016.  (Continued Below)

The documents were turned over in response to Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records of communications and payments between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele and his private firm, Orbis Business Intelligence (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:17-cv-00916))

Tom Winter tweeted, “NBC News: The FBI has released 71 pages of documents tied to their relationship with Christopher Steele. Most are redacted payment forms to Steele. They do show that Steele was told to stop gathering intel after he was determined to be a source for an article in 2016.”

Next, Tom Fitton tweeted what NBC’s Winter picked up, pointing out that the documents are “heavily redacted,” and Steele was a paid informant.

Fitton said, “Judicial Watch gets new Steele documents from FBI. Confirm FBI “closed” Steele relationship because “CHS confirmed to outside third-party that CHS has a confidential relationship with FBI.” Steele “admonished” in 2/16. Docs suggest Steele payments. Tom clears up a technical point regarding the “admonishment” of Steele by adding, “Earlier I tweeted that Steele received an admonishment but based on a better understanding of that technical term I will clarify that informants receive admonishments when they first become sources of information and annually thereafter.”

“These new docs show that the shady, cash-based relationship the Obama FBI had with Clinton operative Christopher Steele,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The anti-Trump Russia ‘investigation’ had Christopher Steele at its center and his misconduct was no impediment to using information from his Russia intelligence collaborators to spy on the Trump team. The corruption and abuse is astonishing.”

The bottom line – James Comey was the FBI Director during this time. He should be hanging his head in shame for allowing this to occur under his watch.
