Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, talked to Politico on Thursday about the latest proposal from the Mueller team regarding questioning the President.
Most believe that if President Trump talks to Mueller and his team, that they will set him up to catch him for perjury and thereby setting up impeachment proceedings. (Video Below)
It is well-known that President Trump denies ANY Russian collusion.
It’s also known that the President has offered to speak with the Special Counsel.
Rudy Giuliani told Politico that “our decisions will get made in the next week to 10 days” if they will or will not grant the interview with President Trump.
Giuliani continued, “the team is still considering declining an interview altogether,” despite President Trump’s desire to do so.
Many pundits, including Joe diGenova and Alan Dershowitz from opposing sides of the political spectrum BOTH agree that the President should NOT speak to the special counsel. (Video Below)
Dershowitz explained to Laura Ingraham, “All they want to do is get him to say–in a context where he can be charged with a crime–something that is controversial and something that somebody else will come in and testify and say ‘no he told me something different.”
Dershowitz continues, “You can be charged with lying to prosecution officials even if you tell the truth if there’s another witness who comes in and gives a different account…”
