There’s no doubt that 2018 has been a very challenging year for Democrats as they desperately seek momentum after all of the winning President Trump has accomplished.
And as they try to build up their image in wake of the November 2018 midterms, another Democrat lawmaker isn’t making things any better for the party after he was arrested Thursday evening.
According to a FOX report, state Democrat Senator & Minority Leader Jeff Woodburn from New Hampshire, was charged and booked on crimes related to domestic violence. And his acts that he did to a woman that brought on his arrest are very disturbing.
Over the course of two years, the democrat senator reportedly bit a woman on multiple occasions on different areas including on the hand and forearm.
He also is accused of punching her in the stomach, slapping her and forcing his way inside of her home, according to the report.

Sen. Woodburn was charged with simple assault, domestic violence and criminal mischief as per the state attorney general’s office.
Woodburn acknowledged his arrest and stated:
“This afternoon, I learned that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. I voluntarily responded to the police station, cooperated with law enforcement during the booking process, and was released. I intend to fully address and defend against these charges in court.”
Meanwhile, the New Hampshire Democratic Party, the Democrat congressional delegation and various key members of New Hampshire’s Senate Democratic Caucus all are begging for Woodburn’s immediate resignation in an attempt to save face.
New Hampshire’s Democratic Party released the following statement on the matter involving Senator Woodburn:
“The New Hampshire Democratic Party stands firm in our belief that any form of sexual harassment, sexual assault, or domestic violence is completely unacceptable behavior for anyone, let alone our public officials who should all be held to a higher standard.”
Either way this pans out, it can’t be good for New Hampshire Democrats, who are the minority in both NH’s House and Senate, and Democrat lawmakers around the country since this story made national news.
Oh my! Talk about a black eye to the party!
