On Wednesday, golf legend Jack Nicklaus backed Tiger Woods while agreeing with his recent comments about President Trump.
Nicklaus appeared on Fox & Friends to promote “Folds of Honor,” his charity which benefits the families of fallen service members. (Video Below)
Jack Nicklaus, during his interview, agreed with Tiger Woods’ decision to respect the office of the presidency and not get involved in political discussions involving race.
After Tiger’s game of golf, and instead of being asked about his game performance on Sunday, a reporter felt the need to ask him about his relationship with President Trump and if it was “professional” or “personal.”
Woods came back with the perfect response, one that the reporter wasn’t expecting.

“Well, I’ve known Donald for a number of years. We’ve played golf together and you know we’ve had dinner together. And so yeah, I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.” Tiger explained.

The reporter wasn’t satisfied with Tigers response and tried again, pulling out the race card. He asked about President Trump’s sports debates with LeBron James and his disapproval of the NFL national anthem protests. (Video Below)
“Well, he’s the President of the United States and you have to respect the office. No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike the personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.” Tiger Woods said.
Like clockwork, President Trump took to Twitter pointing how ridiculous the stunt was that the reporter pulled while shaming the “fake news media.”
The President tweeted, “The Fake News Media worked hard to get Tiger Woods to say something that he didn’t want to say. Tiger wouldn’t play the game – he is very smart. More importantly, he is playing great golf again!”

When asked about Tiger Woods’ comments on Fox News Wednesday, Jack Nicklaus made it clear that he backs Tiger 100%!
“I thought Tiger handled it very well. No matter’s who’s president, whether it was Barack Obama or Donald Trump, I think you respect the office. I’m much in Tiger’s camp on that.” Nicklaus declared.

Nicklaus endorsed Trump during the 2016 election, telling CBS that he was “awakening the country.” He also discussed Folds of Honor’s Patriot Golf Day, the country’s largest golf fundraiser.
Folds of Honor raises money for the spouses and children of fallen service members.
