Tuesday, the confirmation hearing of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court was met with disruptions and a political resisting circus to disrupt and delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation within the first few minutes of starting.
Top Democrats tried to overtake the session with a rapid-fire string of objections, and protesters shouted and screamed in the audience. (Video Below)
Despite democrats having all the information they need to know about Kavanaugh, they refuse to let the American people see why Kavanaugh should be elected. They are trying to stop and delay the hearing making up excuses.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley,(R-IA), said he and his staff were “available 24/7” to help Democrats access Judge Kavanaugh’s records, but “not one senator showed up.”
During the hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had a thing or two to say about the obstructing Demorcats and the games they are playing.
“It’s not about documents, it’s not about Judge Kavanuagh’s credentials, it’s not about a judicial record…..what this fight is about, [from democrats]. I believe what this fight is nothing more and nothing less than an attempt by our democrat colleagues to re-litigate the 2016 Presidential election,” Cruz declared in his opening statement. Cruz continued shining light on the democrats obstruction by explaining that during the 2016 presidential election candidate Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both told America what kind of Justices and Judges they would appoint.
Cruz explained the difference in answers that Hillary gave and what then candidate Donald Trump gave during debates.
Hillary wanted and promised a liberal progressive willing to rewrite the United States Constitution. Then- candidate Donald Trump was looking to appoint Judges in the mold of Justice Antonin Scalia Sen. Ted Cruz said during the hearing. (Video Below)
Cruz came forward next declaring that then-candidate Donald Trump did something that no candidate has done before: Trump published a list of nominees when filling Justice Scalia’s seat which provided unprecedented transparency to the American people, which was laid before the American people before they went to the polls on November 8, 2016. The American people made a choice that day.
The Texas Senator pointed out that his democratic colleagues are not happy with the choice the American people made, but he reminded them a famous quote from former President Obama. “Elections have consequences.”
“Most Americans want Judges that will follow the law and will not impose their policy preferences on the rest of us…and who will be faithful to the Constitution of Bill of Rights. Justices who will uphold fundamental liberties like free speech, religious liberty, the second amendment. That’s what this election was about.” Cruz explained.
Cruz broke down each of those polices with passion and patriotism explaining why they are important, then noting that Democrats have become radical and want to enforce Obama-era policy instead while changing the Constitution. (Video Below)
Next, he put democrats to shame exclaiming, “We know that every democratic member of this committee is going to vote ‘no,’ we don’t have to speculate. Every single one of them has publicly announced they are going to vote ‘no.’ It doesn’t depend on what they read in documents, it doesn’t depend on what Judge Kavanugh says at this hearing.” Cruz added, “They’ve announced ahead of time, ‘they are voting no!'”
Cruz continued, “It’s about politics. It is about democratic senators trying to re-litigate the 2016 election and working to begin litigating the 2020 presidential election.”
Sen. Ted Cruz concluded by saying he is confident Judge Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
