SACKED: NFL Off To A Rocky Start As America Hands Them A Brutal Week One Loss

The first game of the NFL season kicked off yesterday. It was raining. The rain delayed the game. And in the city where the Liberty Bell resides.

The Philadelphia Eagles won 18 -12 against the Atlanta Falcons but less people tuned in to watch the first game of the season over last year. (Continued below.)

For whom the bell tolls – it tolls for thee, NFL.

Brietbart reported, “in a game that saw the defending champs booed by their own fans, viewers nationwide turned out to be equally disappointed.”

“Snagging 19 million viewers on the Comcast-owned network, the late starting Eagles winning kickoff game fell 13% in broadcast audience from last year’s NFL opener with the New England Patriots and the victorious Kansas City Chiefs,” reported Deadline.

Has the NFL been losing fans every year since Kaepernick first kneeled?

Kaepernick kneeled after the opening game in 2016. (Continued below.)

“It was down 11 percent from 2016 to 2017,” as reported by Touchdown Wire. And from 2017 to 2018 we now know it’s down 13%.

Yes. The NFL is losing fans because there still is NO resolution to the protests during the National Anthem at professional football games.

Perhaps, a eulogy is in order for the NFL. (Continued below.)

Bad timing with the Nike advertisement.

CBS recently reported, “Nike’s new “Just Do It” ad with Colin Kaepernick hasn’t aired yet, but one survey suggests that hearing about it is not going over well with U.S. consumers.”

“About 24 percent of consumers now say they view the brand unfavorably, up from 7 percent before the sports apparel giant revealed the former National Football League quarterback as the face of a new marketing campaign, according to research firm Morning Consult,” CBS’s Kate Gibson with Money Watch reported.

Nike beat the Coca-Cola company. In the mid-eighties they switched their formula and tried to market it at as Classic Coke. BIG mistake.

Nike may very well have won for the biggest marketing blunder campaign in the history of America. And it appears it affected the NFL, too.
