Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and calls the DOJ and FBI out on media leaks.
Sara A. Carter reported, “Rep. Meadows sent a letter to Deputy AG Rosenstein saying a “review of the new documents raises grave concerns regarding an apparent systemic culture of media leaking by high-ranking officials at the FBI and DOJ related to ongoing investigations”

Specifically, Sara cites, “the review of the documents suggests that the FBI and DOJ coordinated efforts to get information to the press that would potentially be ‘harmful to President Trump’s administration’.” (More below.)
Additionally, Sara cited, “Those leaks pertained to information regarding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant used to spy on short-term campaign volunteer Carter Page.”

Sara cited, “the letter notes that the two text messages in April 2017 were during the same time frame as the FBI and DOJ officials were having conversations with reporters.”
She continued, “During that time the Washington Post ‘broke a story on the Carter Page FISA application on April 11, 2017, setting off a flurry of articles suggesting connections between President Trump and Russia’.” (Continued below.)

What Congress is doing about the MSM leaks.
Congress has created a task force. The letter that Meadows sent over to Rod Rosenstein also asked for more information and more communications.
Congress asked for more communications from three other people involved. They are Stu Evans, Mike Kortan and Joe Pientka. The letter is careful to state that “some of these individuals may share the committees’ same concerns.” (More below.)
Additionally, the task force is asking for MORE communications. They are seeking what Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page and Mueller’s lead prosecutorial attorney, Andrew Weismann shared between themselves.
Bob Goodlatte – Chairman of the Judiciary Committee was also sent a copy of the letter. Additionally, Chairman of the Oversight Committee of Government Reform, Trey Gowdy was also sent copied on the letter.
