On Thursday, the showdown America has been waiting finally unravelled! Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Dr. Christine Ford went toe to toe while facing Republican and Democrat Senators in a public hearing.
The hearing lived up to all of its hype as Kavanaugh arguably proved plenty of doubt against Ford’s claims of sexual assault, in what was an emotional testimony. And soon after it concluded, President Trump wasted no time giving his final word on the matter.
Trump immediately took to Twitter with his response to the public hearing.
The President ripped Democrats over their disgraceful smear campaign. And, he claimed Kavanaugh proved to America why he was chosen as the nominee.
Trump said, “Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist. The Senate must vote!”

The Senate is expected to vote on Friday, but whether they decide to actually follow through is yet to be seen.
