President Trump delivered remarks at the White House on immigration and border security on Thursday afternoon and he was not messing around.
Trump campaigned on keeping America safe, and he is fulfilling his promise to do just that. (Videos Below)
During his speech, President Trump warned the illegal immigrants moving toward the southern border that if they threw rocks at U.S. law enforcement or military it would be considered the same as firing on them.
While pointing out that some of the immigrants have been violent who crossed the Mexican-Guatemalan border he said, “Anybody throwing stones, rocks, like they did to Mexico and the Mexican military, Mexican police, where they badly hurt police and soldiers of Mexico, we will consider that a firearm.”
Trump continued, “we will consider it, the maximum that we can consider that…We’re not going to put up with that. They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back….I told them to consider it a rifle.”
These migrants threw rocks at members of Mexican law enforcement, injuring some of their authorities in an attempt to continue through towards the U.S. to claim asylum. (Videos Below)
The Trump administration is concerned because current U.S. law requires a lengthy asylum adjudication process and believes many migrants are using loopholes in U.S. law to illegally immigrate. Trump announced that he will issue an executive order to force asylum seekers to only enter at legal ports of entry, allowing for orderly processing, according to Daily Caller.
Further, President Trump spoke on “catch and release” calling it a disgrace and declared, “We are not releasing anymore! We are not longer going to release We are going to catch, and not going to release.”
“They are going to stay with us until the deportation hearing or the asylum hearing taking place.” The President explained millions of people have been released into the community and never showed up for the trials. “They never come back, they’re never seen again, and those people know who they are. Those people will be deported. Directly deported.” He said bluntly. (Videos Below)
Trump explained the biggest loophole drawing illegal aliens into America’s borders is the use of fraudulent or meritless asylum claims to gain entry into the country. He said they use a phony lines to say given by their lawyers, and then they are released.
“We are not releasing them into our country any longer. They’ll wait. We’re putting up massive cities of tents. We are going to hold them right there. We are not letting them into our country.” President Trump announced.
