It has apparently become fashionable to mock Christians now and two left wing cable outlets used a sick talking point on Thursday night.
CNN and MSNBC hit a new low and it’s beyond disturbing. (Videos below)
Thursday night CNN’s Chris Cuomo and MSNBC’s Chris Matthews both discussed gun violence and the recent mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California that occurred.
Cuomo went on a long rant against gun violence on his show, while Matthews was joined with his guest, California Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier.
Cuomo, during his show, criticized those who send “thoughts and prayers” after a shooting tragedy, while Matthews and Speier suggested that people who offer thoughts and prayers to the victims of shootings don’t actually care about the victims.

Chris Cuomo said those praying for the victims actually “mock” them and that “leaving it to God” is not the answer.
“First, I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers, because that’s what you do when you offer ‘Thoughts and prayers.’ You mock those who lost loved ones because if you gave it any thought at all, you would never walk away from any of these without figuring out a better way to deal with them,” Coumo said.
“And prayer? You think leaving it to God is the answer?” Cuomo asked. (Videos below)
“We pray for strength. We pray for wisdom, for resolve, but we clearly don’t want to act on any of those here. So what are you praying for? What would it take?” Cuomo asked.
“How about a stadium full of children of the most influential people in our society, all holding puppies. What if they were all shot and killed. Would we act? Oh, don’t be ridiculous — more ridiculous than doing nothing? Time after time?” Cuomo continued.
Further, MSNBC Chris Matthews suggested outlawing “thoughts and prayers,” as a response to mass shootings.
“The moments of silence are about all Congress has the guts to do, it’s not good enough,” Rep. Jackie Speier said.
“You mean thoughts and prayers? I’m sorry, I mean, that should be outlawed.” Matthews said.
Matthews continued mocking Christians by adding that he knows thoughts and prayers are “well intended in some cases.” Speier interrupted, declaring, “No, it isn’t!”
Matthews then said, “Usually, it’s a throwaway line by a staffer who knocks off some script, some product, some wordage for somebody political to make it sound like they give a damn.”
