Thee partial government shutdown has entered its third week. And now, Senator Lindsey Graham is signaling very little hope that the standoff between Republicans and Democrats will come to a reasonable conclusion any time soon.

As Democrats refuse to make a deal with the President that includes funding for border security, Senator Graham is calling on President Trump to take matters in his own hands.

On Friday, Graham made his case for the second time in two days on why declaring a national emergency is the only way Trump can secure the border.

He cites Democrats’ hatred for President Trump as the core reason why they will not strike a deal and will do everything in their power to stop him in 2020.
