President Trump on Thursday savagely pulled the plug and denied a military aircraft to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for a foreign trip just minutes before Democrats were set to depart.

Former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee joined Fox News Friday morning where he weighed on President Trump’s decision to postpone Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip overseas.
Huckabee said that President Trump and Speaker Pelosi are playing hardball suggesting, “that is a game Nancy Pelosi started.”
“When she took the unprecedented step of saying ‘don’t come over to the House for the State of the Union, because it may not be safe.'” He added, “Even though she did not check with anybody to see if there was a problem with security.”
Huckabee laid down the truth next and said, “When you start that game, you better understand that Donald Trump is always going to play on the same level of field. He’s just going to play as rough as anyone else plays, and anyone that didn’t get that during the Presidential process, watching him excoriate 16 candidates, including me, or watch him take down Hillary Clinton… why don’t people understand this?” (Video Below)
“He’s not a guy that runs into the corner and bites his lip and puts a tear in his eye! He’s going to come out swinging.” Huckabee said.
He agreed that what President Trump did was an appropriate response and said that the Democrats were going to go on a 7 day junket right in the middle of a shutdown.
“They don’t really care about 800,000 government workers! They care about themselves, and they care about stopping Trump, but it was also very, very funny.” Huckabee added. (Video Below)
The former Arkansas Governor admitted he doesn’t agree with Sen. Lindsey Graham’s statement where he said, “One sophomoric response does not deserve another. Speaker Pelosi’s threat to cancel the State of the Union is very irresponsible and blatantly political. President Trump denying Speaker Pelosi military travel to visit our troops in Afghanistan, our allies in Egypt and NATO is also inappropriate.”
Huckabee said, “Well, I love Lindsey, but he’s wrong. He is dead wrong about this for a couple of reasons. One: If you want to end the government shutdown, you cannot do it while the Speaker of the House, who has to call for a vote and who has to be involved in the negotiations is gone for 7 days. That is absolutely going to prolong the shutdown.”
He continued, “Lindsey is an institutionalist and I understand that. They want to defend their branch of government, and I get that. But this is something that the troops overseas are dying to have. They can have that visit. They can take that wonder excursion after they get the government back open. But, it wasn’t something that was pressing for them to do right now.”
Huckabee pointed out that if it was something that is that urgent for Democrats to take their trip, “do what I do everyday of the week, get on a commercial flight. They go everywhere, including Afghanistan.”
He then explained that both Trump and Pelosi are both experienced at fighting but noted that he’s never seen anybody like Donald Trump.
“Once he gets in the fight, he does not go over to the corner, ever! This is guy who keeps punching until the other side is either pummeled or just as tired as the battle.” Huckabee declared.
He added, “If you want to ask me who I bet on… that’s an easy one. I would bet with the President on this, but it’s not about who wins the fight.”
Further, Huckabee announced that he’s actually disgusted with the whole thing and wants the government back open.
“We’ve spent more money on the government shutdown than the President is asking for in the original 5.7 billion dollars. It’s ridiculous!” He concluded.
