On Friday, former Trump campaign advisor Roger Stone was arrested in connection to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

According to Politico, Stone’s arrest occurred after Mueller’s Grand Jury indicted him on charges that he lied to Congress and obstructed the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, as well as alleged witness tampering.

Soon after Stone’s arrest, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders spoke with CNN to answer questions.

During her interview, Sanders made it clear that Stone’s arrest has “nothing to do with the President.”

Sanders initial reaction was, “This has nothing to do with the President and certainly nothing to do with the White House.”

She continued, “This is something that has to do solely with that individual and not something that affects us in this building.” Video Below

Sanders said her main concern about Stone’s indictment is if the standard seen out of the Special Counsel would apply to those on the other side of the aisle who also made false statements.

Sanders said, “I think the bigger question is if this is the standard, will this same standard apply to people like Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Clapper? Will we see these same people who we know have also made false statements, will that same standard apply?”

Sanders made it clear, once again, that “there was no collusion, there was no wrongdoing by the President.” Video Below
