Trump Magnifies ‘The Letter’ Mueller Released With The DOJ That Pelosi Isn’t Talking About

In an exclusive interview that will air Thursday evening, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham sat down with President Donald Trump amid his visit to Normandy, France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

During the interview, the President responded to a question about former Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the press conference he held over the Russia investigation.

“Let me tell you, he made such a fool out of himself, because what people don’t report is ‘the letter’ he had to do to straighten out his testimony because his testimony was wrong,” President Trump told Ingraham.

The president was referring to a joint statement later issued by the Justice Department and the special counsel’s office saying that Mueller’s account did not conflict with Attorney General William Barr’s previous comments, in which Barr said the decision not to charge Trump with obstruction did not hinge solely on the DOJ policy, reported The Hill.

As per The Hill, the statement reiterated that Mueller’s office “concluded it would not reach a determination — one way or the other — about whether the president committed a crime.”

Last week during a CBS interview, Attorney General William Barr was asked what he thought about Robert Mueller’s press briefing, specifically the part where he said that he couldn’t make a decision about whether the President committed obstruction. (Continued Below)

“I personally felt he could’ve reached a decision,” Barr said during his interview. “The opinion says you can not indict a President while he is in office. But he could’ve reached a decision as to whether it was criminal activity. But he had his reasons for doing it, which he explained.”

Since Mueller’s public appearance, congressional Democrats have ramped up calls for the impeachment of the President.

President Trump last week called impeachment a “dirty, filthy and disgusting word,” and said there was no reason for Democrats to begin the process. (Continued Below)

The President also blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), coining her a new nickname, when asked whether he minds if Mueller testifies to Congress.

“Nancy Pelosi, I call her ‘Nervous Nancy’, Nancy Pelosi doesn’t talk about it. Nancy Pelosi is a disaster, ok? She’s a disaster. Let her do what she wants, you know what? I think they’re in big trouble,” he said.

Pelosi, however, who was also in Normandy for the D-Day ceremony, declined to respond about President Trump.

“I don’t talk about the President while I’m out of the country. That’s my principle,” she said to CNN’s Jim Acosta.
