President Trump blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Twitter Friday after she reportedly told her colleagues that she wants to see the President sent to prison.
Trump reacted calling Pelosi a “disgrace” to herself and her family, while also giving the House Speaker a new name during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham: “Nervous Nancy”.
The escalation in their overseas feud, with Trump returning to Washington after participating in D-Day anniversary ceremonies in Normandy, comes after Pelosi, D-Calif., reportedly suggested earlier this week that Democratic leaders should look beyond impeachment proceedings against Trump — and instead urge charges against him after he leaves office, reported Fox News.
Politico reported that the House speaker told top committee chairmen in a meeting: “I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison.”
President Trump wrote on Twitter Friday, “Nervous Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace to herself and her family for having made such a disgusting statement, especially since I was with foreign leaders overseas. There is no evidence for such a thing to have been said.” (Continued Below)
The President went on to say, “Nervous Nancy & Dems are getting Zero work done in Congress and have no intention of doing anything other than going on a fishing expedition to see if they can find anything on me – both illegal & unprecedented in U.S. history.”
“There was no Collusion – Investigate the Investigators! Go to work on Drug Price Reductions & Infrastructure!” Trump declared.
In an interview on Thursday with Laura Ingraham, President Trump fired back at Pelosi as a “nasty, vindictive, horrible person” in response to her “prison” remark. (Video Below)
“I think she’s a disgrace. I actually don’t think she’s a talented person. I’ve tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done,” President Trump said. “She’s incapable of doing deals, she’s a nasty, vindictive, horrible person, the Mueller report came out, it was a disaster for them.”
