Trump Warns Congress ‘Deportations Start’ If No Solutions & Announces 2 Week Delay On Sched ICE Raids

President Donald Trump spoke with the press on Saturday before departing for Camp David where he answered several questions pertaining to Iran, sanctions, the stock market, ICE raids, and deportation.

However, the President took to Twitter after speaking to reporters of the administration’s plans to begin mass raids against illegal immigration.

ICE was set to begin immigration raids in 10 cities on Sunday, as part of an effort to deport mass amounts of immigrants who entered the United States illegally.

While many leaders of the left have already begun their criticism of the move, President Trump issued more details to help set the record straight of what exactly is set to take place.

“These are people that came into the country illegally. They’ve been served. They’ve gone through a process, a process of the courts and they have to be removed from the country, they will be removed from the country. It’s having a very big effect on the border. Everybody that came into the country illegally will be brought out of the country very legally,” the Commander in Chief said while speaking to reporters.

The President said that some cities will fight the ICE raids adding that “They’re generally high crime cities. If you look at Chicago, they’re fighting it and you look at other cities, they’re fighting it. Many of those cities are high crime cities and they’re sanctuary cities.” (Continued Below)

President Trump, however, announced that he would delay the administration’s plans to begin the mass raids as he took to Twitter with an update.

He wrote, “At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border.”

Trump warned, “If not, Deportations start!” (Video Below)

President Trump’s official tweet:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded on Twitter writing, “Mr. President, delay is welcome. Time is needed for comprehensive immigration reform. Families belong together.”
