Sarah Sanders Responds After FLOTUS Announces Stephanie Grisham Will Be The Next WH Press Secretary

First Lady Melania Trump announced on Tuesday that Stephanie Grisham will be the next White House Press Secretary and Communications Director.

Grisham, a top aide to first lady Melania Trump, was named Tuesday to replace Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who will be leaving at the end of the month.

The First Lady wrote on Twitter Tuesday, “I am pleased to announce @StephGrisham45 will be the next @PressSec & Comms Director! She has been with us since 2015 – @potus & I can think of no better person to serve the Administration & our country.”

Melania Trump added, “Excited to have Stephanie working for both sides of the @WhiteHouse. #BeBest”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced her plans to step down as White House press secretary earlier this month. On Tuesday, Sanders responded and tweeted that Grisham “will be an incredible asset to the president and the country.”

“I’m sad to leave the WH, but so happy to leave our team in such great hands,” Sarah said. “Stephanie will do a phenomenal job. Proud to have another mom and a great friend in this role.” (Continued Below)

The Daily Caller reports:

During her tenure, Grisham has vociferously defended the first lady with aggression and snark, including against Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour and the ladies of ABC’s “The View.”

Her work on behalf of Melania has sometimes ventured into presidential territory as well. In 2017, when the media criticized Melania for launching an anti-bullying campaign in light of President Donald Trump’s attacks on the press, Grisham replied,  “As the first lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder.” (Continued Below)
