RINO Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) came out of nowhere in May where he took to Twitter Friday in a 13 part series of tweets attacking President Trump and Attorney General William Barr. Amash is the first Republican to stab Trump in the back when he announced that he’s in favor of impeaching the President after the release of the Mueller report.
On Thursday, the” Never Trumper” congressman announced he is quitting the GOP.
In a Washington Post op-ed Thursday, Rep. Amash wrote, “Today, I am declaring my independence and leaving the Republican Party. No matter your circumstance, I’m asking you to join me in rejecting the partisan loyalties and rhetoric that divide and dehumanize us. I’m asking you to believe that we can do better than this two-party system– and to work toward it. If we continue to take America for granted, we will lose it.”

Amash listed the alleged failures of the Republican Party, Congress, and the American political system as a whole in his editorial.
“The Republican Party, I believed, stood for limited government, economic freedom and individual liberty– principles that had made the American Dream possible for my family. In recent years, though, I’ve become disenchanted with party politics and frightened by what I see from it. The two-party system has evolved into an existential threat to American principles and institutions,” he said. (Continued Below)
In May, Rep. Amash criticized President Trump and his own colleagues on Twitter where he laid out his four ” principal conclusions” as to why he believes President Trump should be impeached, then he offered his conclusions.
President Trump took note of Amash quitting the Republican Party and fired back:
He wrote on Twitter Thursday, “Great news for the Republican Party as one of the dumbest & most disloyal men in Congress is “quitting” the Party. No Collusion, No Obstruction! Knew he couldn’t get the nomination to run again in the Great State of Michigan. Already being challenged for his seat. A total loser!” (Continued Below)
Also in May, after Amash attacked the President, Trump blasted Amash calling him a “loser” who’s helping the Democrats.
Trump wrote, “Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy.”
The President added, “If he actually read the biased Mueller Report, “composed” by 18 Angry Dems who hated Trump he would see that it was nevertheless strong on NO COLLUSION and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION… Anyway, how do you Obstruct when there is no crime and, in fact, the crimes were committed by the other side? Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!” (Continued Below)
