Trump Fires Back After Romney Suggests Inquiries Into Biden Are ‘Politically Motivated’: ‘Pompous A**’

On Saturday morning, President Trump fired back at Mitt Romney in response to a thread of tweets posted on Friday by the Utah Senator.

Romney suggested President Trump’s repeated inquiries into Joe Biden are “politically motived” and “appalling” after Trump called on China to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden “pertained to corruption, not politics,” in addition to his request from Ukraine.

Romney stated, “When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated.”

“By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling,” he added.

Romney’s attack on Trump should come as no surprise as the Senator and former Presidential nominee often speaks out in sync with Democrats who are opposed to the President, despite being a Republican.

In response to Romney, President Trump said, “Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous “ass” who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didn’t give it to him). He is so bad for R’s!” See Below
