Kamala Harris, the politically shrewd California senator with a law enforcement background that has caused some tensions with the progressive left, was announced Tuesday as Joe Biden’s running mate, Fox News reported.
“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris— a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate. Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign,” Joe Biden tweeted on Tuesday.
Former President Barack Hussein Obama and twice failed Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, gushed over the news that Joe Biden picked former California Attorney General Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Obama released a statement on Twitter, saying that “Joe Biden nailed this decision”, adding: “I’ve known Senator Harris for a long time. She is more than prepared for the job. She’s spent her career defending our Constitution and fighting for folks who need a fair shake. This is a good day for our country. Now let’s go win this thing.”
Clinton also took to Twitter raving over Biden’s running mate choice, writing, “I’m thrilled to welcome [Kamala Harris] to a historic Democratic ticket.”
“She’s already proven herself to be an incredible public servant and leader. And I know she’ll be a strong partner to [Joe Biden]. Please join me in having her back and getting her elected,” Clinton wrote. Continued Below

On Wednesday, the president pointed out that Harris “finished weak” in the Democrat Primaries.
.@KamalaHarris started strong in the Democrat Primaries, and finished weak, ultimately fleeing the race with almost zero support. That’s the kind of opponent everyone dreams of!
